March Music

We had the wonderful experience of getting to play handbells with Mrs. Mosely in music this week! Ms. Clemmer came and recorded us so that we could share with all of our friends and family at home. Her camera died half way through and she was standing on a stool, so the video is a little shakey, but we hope you will enjoy! Here we are playing our school song.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. SEUSS" from Thing One and Thing Two (aka Ms. Clemmer and Miss Waldrop)!
We started our day with a BRAND NEW, FABULOUS, WONDERFUL, AWESOME, EXCITING, Promethean Board! :) Here we are learning how to use it. We practiced changing pen colors and writing our names. It was so awesome!

And then we used it to watch Justin Beiber read "The Cat In The Hat" and Tim Tebow read "Green Eggs and Ham". It wasn't as good as having a real guest reader, but it was close!
While we were watching, Miss Clemmer was making us a special snack. Can you guess what it was?....
You guessed it! GREEN EGGS AND HAM! Most of us ate every bite! Yum!

Go out and do something fun to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday this weekend! Enjoy!

A Visit from Eric Litwin

New York Times Best Selling Author Eric Litwin came to Plain Elementary to read and sing with us this afternoon. Here we are waiting very patiently...

And then the fun began...
"Rocking Out"! We got a sneak preview of Mr. Eric's new book about Pete and his "Groovy Buttons" :)
Mrs. Ferrell was an awesome page turner.

We had a great time with Mr. Eric. Ms. Clemmer is going to buy some of his music so that we can jam in class, too!

Donor's Choose

We have been working so hard in centers this year and we would love to have a listening center in our classroom. Please take a look at our donor's choose website and see if you can help our class.

If You Give A Pig A Pancake

Yes, I have been HORRIBLE about blogging this year...BUT the good news is I just got a new laptop! Hopefully now I can blog with my feet up in my pj's! :) I know it seems silly, but I am SO VERY EXCITED to have a reliable computer.

We've been studying prediction this week...and what better way to study prediction that to make some predictions?! :) Ms. Clemmer read us If You Give A Pig A Pancake and we made predictions about what we thought the pig would do next. Then Ms. Clemmer told us she was going to make us a special snack. First we guessed cookies, then we guessed popcorn and then we finally got the prediction correct...PANCAKES! :)

We hope you enjoy our pictures as much as we enjoyed our PINK PANCAKES!

 Reading our story...And then...SURPRISE...PINK PANCAKES!
