This week we have been studying about bats. We started by reading Stellaluna. We even got to watch it online! Then we made bats to sequence the story Stellaluna. We hung them upside down by their feet on our "Going Batty Over BATS" wall display outside of our classroom. Here is one of my sweetie's Stellaluna bat. Didn't Briana do a great job?
Since Stellaluna's three friends in the story are birds, we did some research on how bats and birds are alike and different. We put all of the results we found on this Venn Diagram.
Then we made paper bag bat puppets and wrote a bat fact on them. We will hang these in the hall too! Here we are working hard!
I must say, I am grateful for my blogging teacher friend at The First Grade Parade for all of the cute BATTY ideas!
